A Day Away

Friday July 17, '09 ~ With the wheat fields wet from recents rains, Bernie treated us with a spontaneous trip to Kearney for the day! We went to the Archway and enjoyed going through the tour. Even though we've been there before it was fun to see it again. They were also having a classic car show so we got to see some really neat cars too. Afterwards we hit the Mall for some school shopping and stopped for pizza on the way home. We had a fun day and it was nice to have a day away.

Fourth of July

We celebrated the Fourth in Ogallala at my sister Teresa's house. She lives on the hill next to where the big fireworks show is so talk about front row seats!
We gathered early afternoon and had a houseful. Lots of food and family as always. My mom and dad and family friend Dorothy, my sister Becky and Todd, neice Ashton and her boyfriend, nephew Tanner, my sister Jenny and neices Britni and Katie and their baby girls' Zoe, Haley and Emma, my sister Teresa of course, and Jarv, neice Tracy and Ethan and baby Taya and nephew Wade and fiance Jillian, Eric and Callie and all of us were there. The weather was very enjoyable and we all enjoyed the visiting and sitting outside.
The fireworks show started at 9:30pm. It was amazing! It last about 20 minutes and was an awesome sight, especially up close!! There were lots of oohs and aahs and cheering and the booms were so loud! We really enjoyed it.
We had a great time spending the day with family and ending with a spectacular firework show!

Welcome to our new blog!

For those of you who know me well, know I'm pretty computer/technology challenged so I'm giving this whole blog thing a go. I always enjoy checking out my neices blogs and thought it would be a great venue for me to keep my friends and family updated on our lives. Hopefully you'll all find it interesting too and keeping checking it out and keep in touch!

Hopefully I'll get the hang of this blog thing and have some fun pictures and stories to share with you again soon.
