Garden time

Summer = Fresh Veggies! :) Tyler and Cade have been very
busy with their annual garden! A series of nightly summer storms
have prompted the use of hail screens over the tomatos which are
really starting to get big.

The boys' planted 7 rows of sweet corn, lettace, carrots,
potatoes, cucumbers and onions, which we are already enjoying.

Everything is coming up nicely and the boys' are really doing
a nice job again. For those of you who have gardens, you know
it is hard work. The boys' really have a lot of pride in it and we
are really proud of them and their efforts. My part will come
later when i put up fresh corn and can tomatos and make salsa! :)
Can't wait! Yum!

This was a huge wall cloud in the sky
last evening. This storm prompted a
tornado warning to the east of us. Luckily,
we missed out on this storm!

This cloud was so big and close that I couldn't even get all
of it in my camera view regardless of where I stood. It really
was incredible! My picture does it no justice. I always feel so
blessed to live in the wide open country so I can enjoy all of
the wonders of nature.

Father's Day

Sunday June 20th, 2010 ~ My Boys!! Cade, Bernie, Garrett
and Tyler. We're headed to Ogallala for the afternoon/evening.
We drove out by Lake McConaughy....and for those of you in the
Schimonitz family reunion clan, you would not believe the water!!!
The lake is nearly full again! What a site! After our drive we met
brother Ed and nephew Remington at the movie theatre and saw
"Toy Story 3". The boys' didn't want to go too bad but they loved
"Toy Story" as kids so we thought it would be fun to take them. It
was a super cute movie!! Lots of funny parts, we all enjoyed it.

Bernie and I ~ Our 16th Father's day~ awww :)

After the movie we stopped at Dad's for a 'surprise' bbq.
Nothin' fancy but Dad enjoyed the company.

Ed, Remington and Mom joined us. It was a nice evening to
sit out back on the patio and visit.

Bernie got to break in Dad's new grill while
Dad enjoyed 'happy hour'. The burgers were
good!! It was a nice day and I enjoyed spending
it with the 2 favorite 'Dad's' in my life! Happy
Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day

Sunday June 20th, 2010 ~ Happy Father's Day Dad!! This man
survived a houseful of women and is my hero!! Love you Dad!

This is Bernie's first Father's Day without his
Dad so we are thinking of Steve today too.

Happy Father's Day to my amazing husband too!! I have
been blessed with 3 wonderful Sons and they have been
blessed to have a father like him! Work or play, he has
taught them valuable life lessons. He does so much for our
little family and we are grateful! We love you honey, have
a great Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of our family and friends who are
Dad's too!! We are thinking of all of you today! Enjoy your
day and know you are appreciated!

Ashton and Dell's Wedding

I thought I better get wedding pictures posted for those of
you who were unable to attend and who are anxiously awaiting
to see how the day went. Saturday, June 12, 2010, the boys'
looking handsome as we head to Ogallala for the wedding of my
neice Ashton, to Dell.

The smile is just a cover-up for the nerves!
Ashton is beginning to feel a little nervous.
Completely normal for every bride-to-be!

Her hair is done and very cute in the back!

Time to get her dress on. Her Mom, my sister
Becky, helps her get ready.

The orange sash really added a lot to
her dress, very pretty!! Her dress was
very flattering and she looked beautiful in it!

A kiss from Mom!!

Ashton, Tanner and Becky all dressed and
ready for pictures, and looking very nice!
Ashton's bouquet was beautiful!

Weather prevented Ashton from getting her
lake wedding so on to Plan B!! The arch is
decorated complete with fireman boots!!

Ashton always wanted to get married barefoot with her feet
in the sand, so she still got her wish!!! A pan of sand awaited
her at the altar!

Beautiful flowers, beautiful rings...

Time for pictures! Mansion on the Hill
was the backdrop for their wedding pictures.
And complete with a tanker truck!
The happy couple-to-be! Both excited to
see each other for the first time that day.

The wedding party.

Wedding party.

Wedding party.

Todd, Becky, Tanner, Ashton and Dell.

This is my favorite picture of the day!!
Everyone looks so happy! A beautiful
bride for sure!

Ashton and Dell ~

Neice Ashton and neice Britni, both
looked so pretty!!

The wedding party, complete with honor
guard, ready to walk down the aisle.

Ashton arrived via the tanker truck.
When the doors opened and the truck
pulled in, everyone gasped! It was really
a neat moment.

A nervous bride takes in a big breath
and is ready to take the walk of her lifetime,
escorted by her parents. A special moment.

The ceremony was very nice. And a kiss
seals the deal!!!

Mr. & Mrs. Dell Simmerman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neice Katie, hubby Shane and daughter
Emma made the trip from Iowa. It was
great to see them! The day is also special
to them as it was their 6th Anniversary!!
Happy Anniversary!!!

Neices Britni and Katie (sisters) with
their girls!! Which are spitting images
of them as little girls!

A few of my pics are out of order.... Anyway, the new couple
went for a ride around town after the ceremony. Even the
rain didn't stop them from having fun!

The couple returns!

Dell & Ashton ~ their cupcake tree was
really cute.

Sharing their first dance, to Brad Paisley's
"Then". They were showered in bubbles.
The reception was really fun, lots of good music
and dancing. A fun time and a dream day for
Ashton.

The day wouldn't be complete without
an 'aunts picture'! Ashton was a beautiful
bride! Congrats to Ashton & Dell!! Best wishes
and a lifetime of happiness to you both! Welcome
to the family Dell!
