New Job

9.2.2010 ~ Well...................here I am................on my first day
of my new venture.........as a working woman!! I recently applied
for the part-time Para-educator at Paxton Schools and after an
interview I got the job!! I had a total of 2 days to get adjusted to
the idea of going to work after being a stay-at-home Mom for almost
17 years.....not near enough time!! I have to admit I had a pretty
rough day the day before...I didn't realize I would be so emotional
about letting go of life as I knew it. Thanks to my absolutely amazing,
hardworking husband I was able to have the job I always dreamed of
and wanted...being a Wife and Mother, a job that has truly been my
biggest accomplishment!! I have been SO truly blessed to be an every
day part of my children's growing up and now I still will be near them,
it will just be at school! :)


My first day went good. I will work every day from
8am-1pm. My daily routine will be working with 1st graders,
then students in 8th grade English and 8th grade Math then
also helping elementary students with reading and...the dreaded
recess duty!! So far things are going well ( except trying to pick
out clothes every day! aahhh!) and I'm hoping working everyday
will become a routine I can get used to! I'm still feeling a little
overwhelmed with trying to work every day and still fit in every
thing that needs done...it will be hard to break my 'martha stewart'
ways but, I'm determined to still be everything to everybody! It is
still weird to me that I am working but the i.d. badge, whistle and key
tells me it's real!! Here's hoping Christmas vacation comes fast!!! LOL!
